Once a year, the SIG 14 Coordinating Committee (CC) meets at The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) for a face-to-face meeting to receive updates on on-going ASHA initiatives and identify SIG 14 priorities. Additionally, this year, five CC members conducted Hill visits, meetings with members of the United States House of Representatives and Senate (or their staff) from their home states. Since we stayed an extra day for the Hill visit, we squeezed in a trip to the National Museum of African American History and Culture. I thought I would take a few minutes to share some of the highlights of the CC's time at ASHA.
