Welcome to the Fall 2016 Part of Special Interest Group 4’s contributions to Perspectives. This will be our second Part for 2016 and we are looking forward to 2017. We hope our affiliates are getting accustomed to the new unified Perspectives publication.
This part has three interesting articles. The first article is clinically oriented and put together by a number of authors who are involved in providing camps for school-age children who stutter. We hope readers can learn more about camps available for children who stutter, the type of activities they engage in, and how they benefit the child above and beyond speech fluency. The second article is a review of the literature on stigma associated with stuttering and how it is affected by providing listeners with a biological cause of stuttering. Finally, our third article provides an overview of services for people who stutter in Kuwait and provides us knowledge about how speech pathology services are provided internationally.
