Greetings Affiliates,
I want to begin my column by congratulating Special Interest Group (SIG) 3 affiliates on their ASHA Fellow and Media Outreach Champion Awards for outstanding work and exceptional contributions in the area of voice and voice disorders.
Fellowship is one of the highest honors the Association bestows. To be awarded Fellow, the nominee must have made outstanding contributions to the discipline of communication sciences and disorders. The term implies contributions that are significant and would be so regarded within and beyond one's community or state. Special Interest Group 3 is delighted to recognize Jackie Gartner-Schmidt, Barbara Messing, and Jeff Searl for their outstanding work and valued contributions to our field.
