As November is quickly approaching, we are getting ready for our ASHA Convention in the great city of Philadelphia. I hope to see you all there. SIG 13 has published three of its four parts for 2016. Part 1 was released in April with the launch of the new Perspectives of the ASHA Special Interest Groups. Information in Part 1 focused on the sensory aspects of swallowing. Part 2 was released in June and focused on dehydration, malnutrition, and failure to gain weight. In August, we published Part 3 which presented a series of articles focused on dysphagia, education, and supervision of new clinicians. In November, we will bring you articles that will focus on dysphagia in the head and neck cancer population. As affiliates, you can access continuing education (CE) opportunities for each of these parts. In addition, you can access CE exams from three years back. If you find yourself in need of CE credits, visit http://www.asha.org/eWeb/olsdynamicpage.aspx?webcode=olsresults&sig=13 to access all available exams for SIG 13.
